Jiu Jitsu Kids Club - Azle, Aledo, Surrounding Areas

Winter Session: January 5th – March 11th, 2026
This Winter, give your child the chance to build confidence, body awareness, and real grappling skill in a positive, structured environment built for growth.
Our Winter Jiu Jitsu Session is designed to help young athletes master the art of control — the true heart of effective Jiu Jitsu. Throughout this program, students will focus on the three most important top-game skills for kids: Guard Passing, Half Guard dominance, and Side Control pressure.
Over the course of the session, your child will learn how to:
Students will train in both Gi and No Gi, developing confidence from the top while sharpening their ability to stay calm under pressure, apply leverage, and control bigger or stronger opponents.
Whether your child is brand new to the mats or already competing, this Winter Program gives them the skills to take charge of the match — staying balanced, staying controlled, and staying one step ahead.
By the end of the session, students won’t just improve their technique. They’ll develop discipline, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of how to stay composed and effective in any position.
Winter is the perfect time to level up — and we can’t wait to help your child grow.

Learning how to pass the guard and control positions gives kids the ability to stay safe, stay confident, and stay in charge during live grappling. These skills teach them patience, problem-solving, and how to stay calm under pressure — tools that help them both on the mats and in everyday life.
Jiu Jitsu, originating in Japan and later refined in Brazil, is a martial art that emphasizes leverage and technique over brute strength. Known as "The Gentle Art," Jiu Jitsu enables practitioners to defend themselves effectively, regardless of size or strength, by focusing on ground control, submissions, and positional strategies.
Kids learn to overcome challenges, gaining a sense of achievement with every skill they master.
Structured classes and goal-setting teach focus and perseverance.
Jiu Jitsu is like human chess, teaching kids to think critically under pressure.

Fingernails and toenails should be short to prevent accidental scratches or injuries.
Rings, necklaces, and earrings can cause injuries—leave them off during class.
Coaching from the sidelines can be distracting. Feel free to step on the mat and work with your child if you want to be involved.
If you can’t make class, give us a heads-up. No-shows disrupt the flow and leave training partners hanging.
