Jiu Jitsu Kids Club - Azle, Aledo, Surrounding Areas
We’re excited to kick off the Jiu Jitsu Kids Club Spring Session, running through May 1, 2025! Our program is designed for children ages 6–12, focusing on core Jiu Jitsu principles in a structured and engaging environment.
Over the next several weeks, your child will continue developing their skills, learning the fundamentals needed to win at Jiu Jitsu. Each class will build upon the foundation, helping students grow in confidence, technique, and strategy.
For the final four weeks of the spring session, we will be exploring Jiu Jitsu in the Gi, allowing students to experience a new aspect of the art and further develop their grips, control, and submission skills.
Jiu Jitsu, originating in Japan and later refined in Brazil, is a martial art that emphasizes leverage and technique over brute strength. Known as "The Gentle Art," Jiu Jitsu enables practitioners to defend themselves effectively, regardless of size or strength, by focusing on ground control, submissions, and positional strategies.
Kids learn to overcome challenges, gaining a sense of achievement with every skill they master.
Structured classes and goal-setting teach focus and perseverance.
Jiu Jitsu is like human chess, teaching kids to think critically under pressure.

Ages 6 - 12. Exceptions will be considered
Gym Shorts and T shirt are acceptable. Rash Guard, Fight Shorts, and Compression Shorts/Pants underneath are preferred.
Yes, classes will be offered in November and December on Fridays.
The mat is a clean space. Keep it that way by removing your shoes before stepping on
Keep your gear clean and fresh. A uniform or rash guard shows respect for yourself and your training partners.
Fingernails and toenails should be short to prevent accidental scratches or injuries.
Rings, necklaces, and earrings can cause injuries—leave them off during class.
Coaching from the sidelines can be distracting. Feel free to step on the mat and work with your child if you want to be involved.
If you can’t make class, give us a heads-up. No-shows disrupt the flow and leave training partners hanging.
