Jiu Jitsu Kids Club - Azle, Aledo, Surrounding Areas
Fall Session: September 8th – November 19th, 2025
This Fall, give your child the opportunity to build resilience, confidence, and real-world self-defense skills in a structured and encouraging environment.
Our Fall Jiu Jitsu Session (September 8 – November 19) is designed to help young grapplers unlock the power of the guard — one of the most important foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Over the course of eleven weeks, students will train in the Gi and No Gi, developing attacks and escapes from key guard positions: Seated Guard, Butterfly Guard, Full Guard, and Half Guard.
Whether your child is stepping on the mats for the first time or sharpening their competition skills, this program is built to elevate their understanding of how to defend, control, and attack from the bottom. By the end of the session, students will not only improve technically, but also grow mentally — learning patience, problem-solving, and confidence in every position.
In Jiu Jitsu, the guard is often the first line of defense and the foundation for turning a disadvantage into an advantage. Learning how to stay safe, regain control, and launch attacks from the bottom teaches kids more than just technique — it teaches problem-solving under pressure.
Jiu Jitsu, originating in Japan and later refined in Brazil, is a martial art that emphasizes leverage and technique over brute strength. Known as "The Gentle Art," Jiu Jitsu enables practitioners to defend themselves effectively, regardless of size or strength, by focusing on ground control, submissions, and positional strategies.
Kids learn to overcome challenges, gaining a sense of achievement with every skill they master.
Structured classes and goal-setting teach focus and perseverance.
Jiu Jitsu is like human chess, teaching kids to think critically under pressure.

Yes, classes will be offered in November and December on Fridays.
The mat is a clean space. Keep it that way by removing your shoes before stepping on
Keep your gear clean and fresh. A uniform or rash guard shows respect for yourself and your training partners.
Fingernails and toenails should be short to prevent accidental scratches or injuries.
Rings, necklaces, and earrings can cause injuries—leave them off during class.
Coaching from the sidelines can be distracting. Feel free to step on the mat and work with your child if you want to be involved.
If you can’t make class, give us a heads-up. No-shows disrupt the flow and leave training partners hanging.
