Jiu Jitsu Kids Club - Azle, Aledo, Surrounding Areas

Kids Summer Jiu Jitsu Program
Our Summer Program is designed to give every child the right level of structure, challenge, and support for their age and experience. Classes are intentionally kept small to maintain a strong student-to-coach ratio and a focused, positive learning environment.
Ages 3–5 — Little Grapplers
Young students will build body awareness, balance, coordination, and basic movement skills through fun, structured activities. The focus is on listening, confidence, and learning simple positions in a safe and encouraging setting.
Ages 5–12 — Foundations Group
Students will develop core Jiu Jitsu fundamentals, positional understanding, and control. Training emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and decision-making while keeping classes engaging and age-appropriate for both new and returning students.
Ages 12–15 — Teen Program
Teens will focus on applying Jiu Jitsu in live situations, including submissions, transitions, and composure under pressure. Classes are structured and challenging, helping students build confidence, resilience, and practical skills on the mat.
Our goal across all groups is simple: build strong fundamentals, confidence, and positive training habits in a safe, structured environment.

Learning how to pass the guard and control positions gives kids the ability to stay safe, stay confident, and stay in charge during live grappling. These skills teach them patience, problem-solving, and how to stay calm under pressure — tools that help them both on the mats and in everyday life.
Jiu Jitsu, originating in Japan and later refined in Brazil, is a martial art that emphasizes leverage and technique over brute strength. Known as "The Gentle Art," Jiu Jitsu enables practitioners to defend themselves effectively, regardless of size or strength, by focusing on ground control, submissions, and positional strategies.
Kids learn to overcome challenges, gaining a sense of achievement with every skill they master.
Structured classes and goal-setting teach focus and perseverance.
Jiu Jitsu is like human chess, teaching kids to think critically under pressure.

Yes, classes will be offered in December.
The mat is a clean space. Keep it that way by removing your shoes before stepping on
Keep your gear clean and fresh. A clean uniform or rash guard shows respect for yourself and your training partners.
Fingernails and toenails should be short to prevent accidental scratches or injuries.
Rings, necklaces, and earrings can cause injuries—leave them off during class.
Coaching from the sidelines can be distracting. Feel free to step on the mat and work with your child if you want to be involved.
If you can’t make class, give us a heads-up. No-shows disrupt the flow and leave training partners hanging.
